Defence, repair and the fog
- Shields take the damage first and regenerate after a quiet spell: five seconds unhit for an emplacement and the Heartbloom’s bubble, eight for a mobile shield. Every shield is a honeycomb dome standing on the ground, a bridge or the sea: its cells light up where a shot lands, and it glows brighter the more charge it holds. A dome drained to nothing is down until it has recharged in full, so a broken shield leaves a gap for a while. A shield emplacement needs full power; a mobile shield (Aegis) and the bubble do not.
- Repair. Right-click a repair depot with damaged vehicles: they drive in one at a time and are repaired at 120 health a second per depot tier.
- Wrecks and reclaim. Destroyed vehicles and buildings leave wrecks. Right-click one with engineers to reclaim half a vehicle’s matter or 40% of a building’s. Vehicle wrecks clear after four minutes and building wrecks after eight; beyond 400 vehicle wrecks, the oldest clear first.
- The fog. You see what your units and buildings see: most vehicles and ships about 260 metres, anti-air tanks 330, aircraft 340, the Pebble, the air scouts and the light drones 420, engineers 220. Radar lifts the fog far wider. A building still under construction sees nothing.
- Jamming. Select a radar disruptor and press Jam radar: the enemy’s radar shows nothing within 500 metres of it for five minutes, though their units still see what is in their own sight. It then recharges for five minutes, and losing power ends a jam early.
